There once was a hooker from Kew...

As this is a US political/legal question, my level of knowlege is
quite suspect. That's why I suggested Judge Jones's decision in the
recent Dover case.

So you're asking that scientists prove God does or does not exist?
Can't be done, just like I can't prove the existence or lack thereof
of the invisible pink unicorn presently reading this message over your
shoulder.
As for evolution, we're still waiting for it to be disproven. So far,
nobody has come up with a better idea to fit the facts.

*shrug* the vast consensus of people living in cities is that if you
push the elevator button many times in quick succession while
swearing, it'll come faster.
Consensus is nice, but the evidence is lacking. There is no more
evidence that in the beginning was the Word, rather than Audhumla the
cow licked blocks of ice until she uncovered the giant Ymir.

And yet, the evidence points to evolution. If God has been tinkering
with his creation, he's been hiding his tracks well.

Offensive? No sir, a little pushing and shoving perhaps, but nothing
offensive said or perceived.
I just felt the conversation had reached the point of:
"Goddidit"
"Nohedint"
"YezHedid"
"Nohedint"
"YezHedid"
.... where we had pretty much posted our positions to their logical,
although antagonistic, conclusions.
