I know what that's all about! My club has shut down for a 5 weeks,
and I was so desperate a couple weeks ago that I even went slumming at
the local hapkido dojangs -- watched a defender in a circle of zombies
applying 1/8th speed standing armlocks. Found out that one club rolls
under the John Will distance-ed. course twice a week ... but
unfortunately the instructor busted his hand that morning trying to
punch through a stack of roofing tiles, so class was cancelled. I'm
going back tomorrow night to see if he'll just let me have a go with
any of the students, should be interesting as I wonder if they'll take
it as a 'challenge match'? Very fruitfull was finding a BJJ guy about
30 minutes away in Bellingen, I'm going there tonight again. Last
week I went and got tied up in knots, he was great!
