And as Chas et.al. would be quick to point out, the 'square-off' doesn't
happen the majority of the time in the street.
Good point on who hits whom with what. ;-)

Yes, and typically they learned it from the prev. generation and because of
their experience - they do an abuse and it works - they are skilled at
doing what works. Actually I'm a little glad that Kris has some
mis-apprehensions - it means that abuse in his life isn't prevalent.
I have the gut feeling that more often the violence that people see in the
prev. generation is visited differently. For females, I have the sense that
they act it out on either themselves (cutting behaviors) or on the
children. For males they act it out on the kids, pets and the wife, and in
self-destructive behaviors. It's a rare person that doesn't act out
violence visited on them by their prev. gen. I think it usually takes a
'wake-up' call of some kind to get it stopped and for many not even then.
On a different note, I was watching a vid of some people sparring in a M-T
club and two of the participants were female. One was a very cute blonde in
pigtails. She was really hammering her opponent - looked very Thai, not at
all weak.
I would -love- to have some female sparring partners that could really
unload on ya. For some reason, it just seems *hot* to get the crap beat out
of you by cute blonde chicks. Uh...I dont mean that in a S&M way...I guess
I like the idea of chicks being able to fight hard in the ring. (I'd much
rather watch them do pro boxing than guys, mostly.)
But, then, I may have said too much... ;-)
