Don't get me wrong. Those things can work in a limited way, it's just that
due to the ability that grapplers have to close off those lines and control
you those things are not going to do much. In addition, who is going to be
better at biting you than the grappler who has you tied up. Plus I'm not
sanguine about the result of biting someone who can choke you out and then
do as they wish to your unconscious body. ;-)

Uh, not really holding it against him. I think as time went by he actually
became a smarter fighter. His ability, I think is over-rated (and
over-rated himself) because at the time he was juicing and his opponents,
largely, were not. He was among the first of the karate guys to hang out
with the bodybuilders in California and thus was exposed to the chemical
scene.

Heh, actually it's Lewis' accent and speech patterns that gives the
impression that he's more of a physical guy than an intellectual, though he
did what he could to increase his mental acuity. He was drawn to the more
intellectual types (Lee, Nathaniel Brandon)
