yep, I do agree he's fully whacko on those disease issues

I just heard a story that sort of fits that idea. my new coach Cliff
has had bad back pain for a long time. His mum-in-law is a masseuse
of some sort, and somehow 'traced' the problem down though his body
and to his big toe on one foot. Thinking back, he remembers breaking
it as a kid (but no-one realizing the severity of it) and being forced
to continue daily training, fighing shiai every weekend,
squad-training etc, ignoring the pain and icing it up all the time,
but it really hurt for a year or so. And seems it may have had
consequences much later in life, which he's no recognizing & sorting
out, with regular frequent therapeutic massage & other stuff

you're right, they're actually pretty good, not at all like those
disgusting malformed ones at the website. but a bit of weirdness
doesn't bother me (hey when i was a yoga-freak i taught myself to
vomit at will and squirt salt-water out out my nose) and if wearing a
cork to bed could fix my toes even better, maybe i'd give it a go. On
second thought, seeing as i don't really have any problems with my
feet/toes/stride, that's probably just looking for trouble.
maybe its just expression of a yearning to get into body-modification
-- I thank the Maker that i haven't been captivated by the idea of
penis bifurcation :-)

unfortunately I haven't noticed him posting lately (or Badger South
for that matter), i may have to dig up his email. but i did get this
reply from somone i think may be in the field:
"For whatever reason, bunion deformities are mechanically based and
generally progressive, and spacers between the first and second toes
do little, if anything, to halt that progression; and certainly would
be ineffective in reversing a deformity."

Wha?! NO! certainly not, i mean, why ever would you think that, i said
it was for my _friend_ so just shut up ok!?
