We had one here, couple years ago. TS Bonnie, IIRC. It flattened out
below Cat 1 by the time it showed up, but it STILL KO'd power for >3
days over most of the incredibly wealthy and urban NoVA area. My
neighborhood remained powered, as did Arlington central. Everyone else
was pretty much fkin dark and even sans water and sewage. Fortunately
I live in a new baller neighborhood, cuz Ida been ready to loot ***.
Some places got the juice back on only after 4 or 5 days. And, this
was a TS, not even a legitimate hurricane. Trees down everywhere,
roads closed, lines clipped.

It's happened here before. But, our plan is the same as everyone
else's. We just cross our fingers.
