it's ideal for this, i would think- anything strong enough to knock the
pop rivets out will knock it off your head, too, and it's cheap and
easy to put back together.

imagine the crying if you riveted it and when it failed, you
permanently ruined the mask:). i think training gear should be,
essentially stunt gear- that is, cheap, safe and easy to break and easy
to repair.
