Just got a Gerber Crusader

I've been in the market for a stout little one-hand opening utility
knife for a while now, and just found a Gerber Crusader on sale at a
local sprtting goods store.
I've liked Gerber ever since I tried the LST, and the Crusader seemed
to fit the bill: stout blade, liner lock with flipper/guard, Zytel
scales, not too expensive.
Anyway, I picked it up, and to my surprise, this is the easiest
opening knife without a spring assist I've ever used. The heavy for
the length blade combined with the flipper set-up and the pocket clip
make the thing just snap open. I've had Kershaw spring assists that
opened slower ;-).
Lock-up is fine so far, the liner goes entirely behind the blade when
open, and the flipper would keep the blade from closing on fingers if
the liner accidentally became disengaged while cutting.
Oh yeah, it cuts good too. A few strokes on my strop and it's shaving
sharp, and the blade shape is very easy to use for general cutting and
utility.
Now if only it came in a reversible clip or a left handed version...
