LMAO! :)

I saw a pro-level handmade knife one time that had birds-eye maple
and obviously stained with something to bring out the contrasts more
but otherwise, couldn't tell it was stained or colored. Man... it
looked good. :)

It's a really pretty wood, which is why I chose it for this project. I
would like to really emphasize the grain even more, as this isn't a
'user' knife. The finer I sand down the handles, the more the little
birdseyes show up. Now you know I'm not one for working real hard on
something, especially sawing or sanding, but seeing the results of the
sanding on this are reward enough to keep going. I may make this damn
handle so smooth no one will be able to hang on to it!!! Maybe I'll
finish it with Armor-All? Screw 'em! :o)
