Hi there I am sending away 4 or 5 blades of L6 to get professionally treated
and was wondering what sort of hardness I should get them treated too
No Alvin not 64 rockwell
8-)
They are bowie/clip point knives made from Admiral Steels L6

The place Im getting them done at probably dosnt offer the full bainite
treatment which would be nice I guess for impact resistance
A quick google search bought up Cliff Stamps page and he mentions a tanto
made by running dog that was treated to 57-58 rockwell so I guess thats not
a bad hardness??
thanks for any help
