Re: New Gatto videos

So, I'm AG's personal defense force?

You do seem to behave that way, yes. Any time anyone says anything bad
about Herr Gatto you do jump in to defend him.

Not sure what I mean? Take the post I'm replying to as an
example.

I said that I'm bored of Anthony (note that I'm respectful enough
to use his name rather than referring to him by his surname as
so many people do) - I said I don't find him funny, you jump
on my post all guns blazing and call me immature.

And you're surprised people see you as the defender of all things
Anthony Gatto? Furrfu!

Yeah, you would enjoy taking to Cate
more over coffee, I'm sure.

Well Cate's posts are well structured, show clear thought processes,
she's clearly got opinions, I don't necessarily agree with all of
them but they're all clearly communicated. I think we could have a
very productive and interesting discussion about a lot of aspects
of juggling over a coffee.

Which is more than I can say for 95% of the other contributors
in this thread.

Taking your good self as an example.

Based on this thread, I get the impression that all I'd get to talk
about with you over coffee is how little right I have to an opinion
on anything related to juggling, coupled with a blind raging defence
of any person I may hold an opinion about which you disagree with.

Doesn't sound like a fun cuppa to me! I think I'll skip the muffin thanks.

Throwing in your opinion without seeing the video in question seems like
the mature thing to do, or is that the manure thing, I forget.

You'll notice that most of my post didn't actually mention the
video at all. I'm commenting on the contents of this thread.

I think that's fair game don't you?

I see my post as the juggling equivalent of walking past a pair
of football fans arguing about the decision the ref made over the
deciding penalty of the game - and then commenting that I don't
like the way that they're brawling in public.

The football fans might take exception to my comments on their
behaviour - but "you didn't watch the match" isn't really a
defence either of them can use.

The last paragraph of my post indirectly refereed to the video,
that's true. Although again, I think my comment is fair game.

Let me explain, as you seen to like explanations.

My opinion about Anthony's attempts at humour is valid. Humour is a
very personal choice. You may find Steve Martin side splittingly funny.
Personally, I find him about as amusing as a Tabasco enema. I
don't need to watch every second of performance Steve Martin has
ever made to form this opinion. I've watched enough already
to know that going to the cinema and seeing his latest film is
very likely a waste of my time and money.

I've watched enough of Anthony's videos to know that I don't find
him even remotely funny. You may find him hilarious. I would
rather pull my toenails out with a pair of rusty pliers.

The "waste of bandwidth" comment?

That was referring to the amount of bandwidth that would be used
if *I* downloaded his video. I pay for my bandwidth. Anthony
no doubt pays for his bandwidth. If I were to download it,
I would be wasting my (finite) resource, and I would be wasting
Anthony's (no doubt considerably less finite) resource. Me
downloading his video would be a waste of bandwidth.

Dave, I hope your red mist clears soon, and your temporary lapse
into shouting your name at the beginning of every paragraph in
your communications passes.

I still won't be meeting you for coffee any time soon though.
