Wondering if anyone has had similar problem and found a decent solution.

IMHO the best solution is probably to work out what's going wrong with
a) your throwing technique
b) you partners catching technique

If you can correct that, you've fixed the problem rather than merely
mitigating the symptoms by wearing a golf/cycling/other fingerless glove
(And it means that if it's a throwing technique issue you're not going
to hurt other people ;-)

Narrowing down the flaw in technique isn't easy though, and it depends
largely on which part of the hand is being bruised, is *every* pass
causing problems, is it random, is a specific type of pass worse than
any other? Etc.

It may be helpful to video your partners half of the pattern, from the
catching side. You can then review it looking to see when the club hits
and if there's a way you can modify the catch.

I'm not sure if it is a technique issue. The problem only started
recently, and she has been passing for a few years on a regular basis.

It isn't just caused by one person passing to her either, although she
mainly passes with monkeyjuggler I pass with her and so do a number of
other people. The injury occurs regardless of whether we practise 5 club
popcorns, six club four count, two count, seven clubs on doubles, seven
club singles, Seven club triple singles, Etc.

It seems like one night her hand just suddenly decided that it was going
to bruise really easily and now it seems that every passing session is cut
short as it becomes painful. It swells up quite a bit too when it does
start to bruise.

The part of the hand affected tends to be on the palm where the index
finger meets the palm.

I hope this helps and someone can offer a good suggestion.

Plumsie.

Is it too early to mention Bungay?
