I know a lot of programmers and computer people (not counting r.j.ers), I
am the only serious juggler amongst them. Any that do juggle struggle
with the 3 ball cascade and certainly don't know any tricks.

Some people like to have a hobby/interest/pastime which is very different
from what they do at work or from what they 'normally' do.

Juggling and football (soccer) are my unpredictable hobbies/interests, the
predictable (or at least unsurprising) ones are reading (sci-fi, fantasy),
computer science (Artificial intelligence - machine learning), chess (and
other 'brain' games) and computer games. I have a lot of other more
casual interests that may be fed only once or twice a year if that
much/often.

I don't think non-jugglers have a juggling shaped hole in their lives,
after all, I don't have a hole in mine shaped like any of the
hobbies/interests I don't indulge in.

As for what to chat about down at the pub, there never seems to be a
shortage of topics and even if there is, people just go back to old
arguments and/or stories and rehash them. "Remember when ..." is a good
starter for 10. If you haven't heard the same story at least 20 times,
then you must be new :-)

Cheers,

Kelhoon
