Hi, Maybe I am rushing things a bit. I also tend to read books backwards.
With solid I mean that I can qualify the pattern anytime I want to.
There was a thread about the definition of 'solid', that's all I remember
of it. I am sometimes already bored before I start juggling, so the
criterium till you get bored doesnot
separate the solid runs from the unsolid ones. Just joking.
I quess saying that my 5 was improving was the right sentence. Still think
that it is improving cause I started practicing 3 in one hand.
It is time to meet other jugglers face to face. Seeing it says more than
talking about it. I definitely cannot get 50 catches almost every time.
My personal best is not even 50 catches. Still there has to be a goal.
At the time I am also practicing Mills Mess. This new Dutch site
www.balletjesjooien.nl by Koen Hendrix has a good explanation of Mills
Mess.
How long will it take me to learn Mills Mess ?

Hi Dr Nick!
Descending balls are hitting my spectacles. Especially when practicing
3-in-one-hand.
You have a couple of options.
1 - catch the balls with a hand rather than your face
2 - take your glasses off
3 - practice until you can controll an object that's thrown to the
height you need.
I suspect that 1 is unhelpful, 2 is impractical and 3 is unattractive
because from the sounds of things you're trying to rush and I suspect
you just aren't ready to be trying 3 in one hand yet. Get your base
patterns more solid, at least until you can duck with enough timing.
Sometime da balles bounce in the air and are quicker on their way back
than I expected them to. No time to duck.
Then you shouldn't be juggling bouncy balls should you.
Maybe I should use safety spectacles, or one of my old models.
Or practice.
Descending balls are hitting my keyboard.
So don't juggle near your computer.
Maybe I should put my desktop in another room or use one of my old models.
It's probably easier to juggle in another room than it is to move the
computer.
Sofar, that's all. Still, I got 5 solid now.
How solid is solid? Can you run it every time, with a regular even
pattern, and run it until you get bored? Or by solid do you mean "I can
get 50 catches almost every time"
Anyone else who has some great stories about broken windows and light
bulbs ?
Not so many about broken windows or lightbulbs, but I did once restart a
previous employers finance/payroll server with a misplaced contact
juggling ball.
