I'll agree that the price is set by the intersection of demand and supply
in its nature. This is what my point was about that if someone will buy
it at that price, someone will sell it. Inflation can only be seen in the
macroeconomic scale where aggregate demand crosses the vertical portion of
the aggregate supply curve. Supply and demand don't affect the price
level. Reducing supply is moving down the supply curve which does nothing
to the intersection with demand. I'm not blaming Gatto for anything, nor
was inflation my point. If something is worth buying, it is essentially
money and can be traded as such. By putting value into things without any
goods (money) put into it, it creates more value and more money. And if
there is more money then money is worth less. Where does the last 3
sentances go wrong?
