need some help. I am an experienced hunter planning a Mountain GoatZero a 270 with a 130 grain bullet at 200 and it will only be down 6.4
hunt in BC this fall. I have reciently purchased a CZ in 270 Win. I am
looking to put a scope on it and normally I would chose something like
a Leupold, however I am a traditionalist and how the gun looks is as
important to me as the glass. This new gun has a Mannlicher type stock
so I am looking for something traditional. In my search I ran across
these Leatherwood ART type scopes. The Sporter seems to fit the bill.
It has that WWII look and with the ART it sould solve the problem of
range estimating on the goats.
Finally, I am also interested in your thoughts on the
inclination/declination problem that is sure to arise on this hunt.
This will in all likelyhood be my last big time hunt (all good things
must come to an end) so I am trying to get as close to those fantacies
from boyhood as possible. I plan to fly in to Central BC by float
plane, horse back until the animals can't go anymore then break out the
climbing gear. I have done all this before just not together and not at
age 57.
Thanks for any thought you might have.
inches at 300. How far are you planning to shoot?
