I have an Omega and like it a lot. Bullet and sabot manufactures are
trying to sell hunters on the "200 yard" muzzleloader. The Omega
might do that, but I feel a whole lot more comfortable with 100 yards.
I get good accuracy at that range. I have shot it at 200 yards, and
my groups were inconsistent.

As for scopes, I prefer a 3-9 variable for the Omega, but a good 4x or
6x scope will work just fine for 100 yards. A great scope, but a
little pricey, is the Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40. Leupold and Nikon make
some less expensive, but still good quality scopes. You will probably
get lots of other recommendations.

Also, I recommend you look at the T/C Maxima quick detachable rings
and bases. These are the Warne style of rings. It is very convenient
to remove the scope for cleaning, and then be able to reinstall it
quickly with no significant change in zero.

Good shooting,
Marc
