Bush's avian flu response
President Bush announced today that $11.7 billion was being made available
to deal with an outbreak of avian flu, should one occur.
"It's important to the health and safety of the entire country, that each
and every bird, wild or domesticated, found to be infected with the avian
flu virus, be kept in bed on a strict diet of chicken soup."
