Yeah, I just haven't changed the profile thingie yet. I've turned in
the cablemodem, and I have no idea when they'll stop giving me email.

But after having the cablemodem, with its 2-5M speed for forty bucks a
month, I can't see paying 70/mo. for 700K, with another six hundred
upfront between equipment and installation charges. That seems the
standard rate.

Yeah, but if I'm only gonna need it for under another month (if they
can't satisfactorily address the networking support issue, we're done
with them), I don't see a reason to pay very much, although the german
swerver sounds reasonable enough in price.

AOL doesn't support dialing in to their network from a normal dialing
connection: I've tried to dial in from Mickeyslop's dialer, and it
won't happen.
Then AOL's software won't let any of the other machines see the
internet through its software.

I can't really explain it, it's populated by a bunch of people I enjoy
