Amerigo Vespucci was the perfect corporate executive.
He took no risks, He discovered nothing and yet he got two continents
name after him.
He who trademarks it wins!
Columbus only discovered the capital of Ohio and a circle in Manhattan.
Oh, I thought he discovered a Central Amerigan country, a province of
Canada, and the capital of South Carolina too.
Of course we all know that Columbus was really Jewish, but did he change his
name from Golembus?
Silly me, all this time I thought his name was Cristobal Colon
Depends on who claims his nationality today. On Monday, Wednesdays and
Fridays he's Italian and called Cristoforo Colombo, on Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Saturdays he's Spanish and called Cristóbal Colón, on
Sundays he's free-for-all, e.g. Croatian or Portoguese.
