Hi Nat
Yep, I've collected just about everything now, cross-referenced to
primary or solid secondary sources. There's some interesting stuff,
blowing some more whale-sized holes in this idiot's fairy-tales.
I would like to get it onto a webpage for optimal dissemination but
need to sort out the mechanics.
Happy to help with that if needed (have webspace & bandwidth, proficient
in Dreamweaver etc.). Xmas would I think intervene labor-wise though.

The problem is that Mr Howe has so many identities that he is now even
confusing Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Lord of Mann#Notes: Heir and Claimant
I think that most people assume a claimant in this sort of situation
is sane and rational and does not resort to bombarding different
people with different information using multiple online identities.
Sadly this seems to be the Modus Operandi of Mr Howe. He's now got his
way with a quasi serious page dedicated to him and his claims on Wiki.
This man appears to be capable of stooping to anything to prevent any
barrier between himself and his fantasy life appearing.
Of interest to is that "Marie Ahearne" the "journalist" who placed all
his original PR appears to be his wife. These people would appear to
be very good at what they do. sadly not as good at investigating their
heritage.
Hence the importance of Michael's excellent work: and the importance
that it have enough sholarly trappings to wrest Wikipedia away from
Howe. I agree with Barbara's comment that it's important to quote and
date Howe's various statements since he has been quick to alter the
statements on his webpages in order to evade various criticism.
For a fantasist he is working very hard at it in his own fashion. That
suggests to me that he sees it as a serious moneymaking opportunity to
be preserved, not just a hobby that might be going sour.
