Re: South African moratorium

Sean

If I might respond as follow;

* Prior to August 2004 the moderation was done by one individual. Now
there is a team of moderators and nothing is "pulled" without
consultation first.
* The subject of Scottish Feudal Barons and their heraldic additaments
are subject that seem to cause heated debate especially post the
appointed day.
* The forum of the Heraldry Society of Scotland is a shop window on the
Society, its membership and activities. The discussion of heraldry can
produce differing opinions and arguments. So long as these are
conducted in a gentlemanly way, all is well. No society permits stand
up slanging matches in their meetings, so why should they in their
forums?

For those who wish to have a venue for their unshackled thoughts there
is, of course, rec.heraldry. However, if rec.heraldry were a heraldic
society, given the recent personal attacks posted here, would anyone
what to join and meet with some of the correspondents here?

Yours aye

Stephen
