UPS has had a rule for a number of years that guns have to be shipped
Air Express, they had too many stolen off the floor via regular
ground. So that inflates the price to and from. Supposedly, the air
cargo has better security. Not a law or Federal reg, it's a UPS
policy. Doesn't say a lot about their work force, either. I believe
Fedex is similar, haven't shipped firearms that way. Increases the
incentive to learn to DIY, doesn't it? Can buy a whole lot of tools
for $75. The warranty may be free for life, but that transport bite
adds up.
