# So, given a 15yearold pumpaction that is starting to show signs of
# external pitting and has lost most of its blueing, how would you clean/
# treat it after a weekend in the mud and saly water?
Immerse the disassembled shotgun in very hot soapy water. I have used dish
detergent for the soap. Remove the shotgun from the water and dry it
completely; immediately oil it to protect the metal from corrosion.
