Issues with Savage 10FP and receiver bolt spacing

I just recently pieced together my Savage 10FP, haven't been to the
range yet but ordered a Choate stock that was on sale at Midway. Find
out the stock is the wrong size for the rifle, the bolt spacing was
just a tad too short. After checking other stocks, I measured my rifle
at 4.5", then found most stocks are either 4.1" or 4.4".
So I'm wondering, do most companies just make one size stock? I would
like a Houge stock, have one on my 10/22 and love the rubber feel.
They old sell the 4.1" size which doesn't fit.
Thanks,
Rob
