I dont really like those. They just dont seem reliable in the long
term, I could be wrong. And they look hoaky. Have any experience with
the "scout" style scope mounts ? Sure you and I both would not mess
with grandpa's battle veteran Springfield, Mauser, Mosin or the like.
But I do not consider adding a scope "butchering" a rifle. I have
seen German wwII sniper mounts with high rings, what did they do
differently that we cant short of buying an original for $$$$...
