#I shoot informal NRA smallbore silhouette, range from 40, 60 77, and
# 100 yards. I don't want to mess with the scope settings (not an
# expensive target scope), so I want to zero at the distance for least
# amount of hold over/under. My thinking is zero at 50 yards, it is
# halfway from 0 to 100. On the other hand, zero at 70 is halfway
# between 40 and 100 yards, which is the target ranges. Which would
# result in least amount of hold under for chickens at 40 and hold over
# for Rams at 100?
# My guess is the 70 zero(but might be more hold under at 40?
# Thanks, Jerry
You need to determine the kill zone for what you are hunting and the
typically expected distance. If you are using it for target shooting, zero
to the exact distance of the target.
