From experience with 2 1/2 Kimbers, I've had pretty good results. The
first was a Polymer-Stainless. Took some break-in, ~500rds, and since
has run very reliably. Also very accurate. I use it for IDPA
competition. The 1/2 was a Target-Rimfire conversion kit. It also
took some break in, never seemed to be accurate in comparison with
other .22LR kits; but it would run on CCI Blazer very reliably and was
most like a .45ACP slide to strip and clean. The other was a Stainless
Target II. Extremely accurate - but didn't run. Kimber reamed and
polished the chamber but it still experienced FTX much more often than
I can tolerate as a competition gun.
