Mounting a scope is not that difficult, but depending on the type of rings
it is easy to ruin a scope. Some rings require the base be mounted and the
ring put on and twisted about 90 degrees. If the scope is used to do the
twisting, the scope may be broken. This could be an expensive lesson.

It never surprises me how many people do not seem to have any basic skills
anymore.
