Thanks Mark, thats what I was guessing. I'll have to ask Taurus or
try to find an exploded view.
Thanks to the others for the other advice also. I'm comfortable with
sweeping off the frame mounted safety--in fact that's one reason I'm
looking at the Taurus. The comparably sized 9mm has one major and two
minor problems:
1. It's a Smith and Wesson w/ a slide mounted safety (UP is OFF,
backwards from every other gun I own). It seems like a bad idea to
have the carry gun bass-ackwards from the guns I play with more.
2. It's a Smith and Wesson, bought before the sell-out, but I really
like it (except for the safety). I hate to extol it's virtues and
risk somebody running out and buying a new one, and
3. I already own it so it provides no excuse to buy a new gun.
Does anybody care to address the last part:
# #Am I doing something wrong, holster-wise? Is it reasonable to expect
# #a holstered gun to comply with rule 2? I don't expect my cased guns
# #to do this, but perhaps I'm being remiss. If you can point me to
# #something that somebody has already written on this, that would also
# #be helpful.

# #Thanks,

Thanks,
