schematic for the US Army 1911. It does have the series 80 firing pin
safety. As far as I can tell on mine standard 1911 parts should work
just fine. I have also read of a few people replacing the hammer to
get rid of the hammer safety. I have over 1700 rds fired and the
safety has not been a concern or problem. YMMV
