Dumb question, Ruger Single Six in .22

I inherited my Father's Ruger Single Six in .22 cal. six or so months
ago. The handgun is in like new condition. But of course, the box and
the manual did not make it to me. So I have a couple questions please.
I was looking it over today along with the other firearms I got. I
couldn't seem to figure out how to get the cylinder off. I pushed the
small spring loaded button on the left side, pulled out the cylinder
pin, but can't get the cylinder out. I didn't want to force anything
because like I said, there is not a mark or scratch anywhere on it. How
the heck does the cylinder come out?
Also, is this one of those revolvers that you can buy a .22 mag cylinder
for and shoot both rounds (.22 LR & .22 mag) just by changing the
cylinders?
I plan to get a manual from Ruger soon, but need some help in the mean
time.
TIA.
