Mrs. Brady has an agenda and she is going to find any way to tilt the
public sympathy her way. I would have no issue with her or any other
anti gun person. Heck, I'm anti abortion and anti death penalty. I'm
sure plenty of people disagree with me on those issues. But I don't try
to force my feelings on others and on an entire country. She has the
right to hate guns. But she has no right to rewrite the laws and to deny
people the right to self defense via a firearm. I'm sorry, but many of
us can not afford to live in some mega-buck gated community festooned
with armed security. We live in the real world and at times have to deal
with home invaders, car jackers and sickos like that Couee guy who
killed that little 9 year old Jessica Lunsford. (Her death has got me
rethinking the death penalty!) So, what does Mrs. Brady want us to do
here in a rural county? Just sit there and let some illegal invade our
house and beat us to death with a club while we wait 20 minutes for 911
and the 'first responders' to take effect? Yea right! My PPK, two Colt
...45's and trusty old 12ga 870 are my version of 911! Sorry Mrs. Brady,
but until you can eradicate violent crime, people like me, who take care
of a young son and daughter are going to do what we need to so as to
turn the tide on the criminals. We are sick of being victims and hearken
these immortal words: "God created men, Colt made them equal".
