# guns. One review that was right on target was the one for .22 target
# pistols. They rated the Ruger below the Buckmark and the number one
# reason was that the Ruger is a nightmare to disassemble and reassemble.

That's reason enough to distrust the review for me.

# I own one and can attest to that. I can disassemble my Walther PPK in a
# few seconds and reassemble it in the same time. To disassemble the Ruger
# is not bad, it is getting it back together that is a royal pain. They

I can disassemble and then reassemble mine in about 10 seconds... it took
longer at first because I needed to whack the receiver with a mallet, but it
was still easy to do. My Buckmark gave me fits because the sight base screws
would refuse to let go. If I had them tight enough not to work themselves
loose, then they were near impossible to remove later for cleaning... I
stripped a couple.

I like both guns, but I can't figure out what all the fuss is over the ruger
disassembly/reassembly procedure.

Back on topic though, I have never read Gun Tests, is it available w/o
subscription?

# mentioned this in their review. Something I have never seen in other
# reviews of this gun and something I wish I had known when I bought it
# over a Buckmark. Ya live and learn!
