Revolvers do and will choke especial double action only. Get a piece
of unburnt powder or a grain of sand between the cylinder and frame
and it's shut down solid and without a hammer to yank back a double
action is out of the fight if you don't have the time to open the
cylinder and clear out the crud. Also under recoil a bullet can push
forward stopping rotation. If close enough it's also possible to grab
a tight hold of a cylinder that will also render it useless as long as
you hold on whereas auto loaders will still let you get that shot off
and even some without a mag in the well. I do believe revolvers are
quite reliable but far from perfect...
