Re: Appeals Court Overturns D.C. Gun Ban



I found the dissenting opinion to be startling, particularly when she
declared that the 2nd does not apply to the District of Columbia
because the 2nd says:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free
State..."

And D.C. "is not a state". OK. So D.C. can't have a militia. But
she skipped over the "the right of the people to keep and bear arms
shall not be infringed" part. I don't recall an "except people in
D.C." exception.
