Did they have a warrant? Did you allow them in without one?
Note: no matter how highly one regards law enforcement (I
do, fwiw), or how much one trusts them to be good guys (far
and away, they mostly are), *never* let a LEO on duty into
the house without a warrant unless someone is about to be
mortally wounded... if nothing else, as a matter of principle...
