# Bit of a survivalist question, but I am curious about opinions more
# specialized types might have on the best option for a "sudden
# encounter" gun.
#
# What I mean is, you are walking through the forrest and you hear
# "freeze!" or "DONT MOVE another muscle!".
#
# This is assuming they are within reasonable range to hit you
# gauranteed with whatever they have if they are a decent shot, before
# you can get to cover. This comes from 10-30 yards.
#
# Freezing or not moving another muscle is not an option. I am
# considering this for TEOTWAWKI or bug out scenario.
#
# What is THE gun for this exact situation?
Here is how the story unfolds. You spin around and hit him full in the
chest with 4 rounds of 00 Buck from your street sweeper but you still
die...from the rattlesnake bite he was trying to warn you was coming if you
startled the snake any more.
