#
# First, am I reading this correctly, i.e., that my Connecticut carry permit
# will be honored in Texas without my having to get a Texas carry permit?
#
# Second, I noticed that Texas issues two types of handgun carry permits, one
# to carry non-semiautomatics (NSA permit) and another to carry semiautomatics
# (SA permit). Apparently the NSA permit holder is not authorized to carry a
# semiautomatic but the SA permit holder can carry either type handgun.
# Connecticut only issues one permit that allows you to carry either type
# handgun. The gun that I own and carry is a Glock semi. If the answer to my
# first question is "yes," can I make the assumption that my Connecticut
# permit is equal to the Texas SA permit and that I can carry the Glock?
# Thanks in advance.
You might want to check with the DPS:
http://tinyurl.com/5rhgr . I'd imagine there's a
grace period, but they'll probably expect you to
get a Texas license at some point.
