I have a 391 which I believe is a replacement for the 390. Mine is a
20 gauge. I did have some FTF with light loads but never with heavier
loads.
When I was shopping, I couldn't decide between the 391 and the
Whitewing O/U, so I bought both. The O/U is lighter & I never missed
the 3rd shot. Also, it is a lot easier to clean.
If you can scrape up the bucks, I'd go for the O/U. It only hurts
once.
