Re: want to have a brake installed on my Rem 7mm Mag - what to look for?

I have been told the Mauser Guy actually lives near Central Ohio (so do
I) and have considered looking him up. I though about Porting, but I
don't want to shorten the barrel that way, I would rather have the extra
weight than shorten it.

I would love to have a 300WM with a 30" x 1.25" barrel, but a custom is
out of my price range right now. I was going to send the 7mm to PacNor
to have a custom barrel installed (1.125" x 30") but the cost was more
and I would have had to modify the stock too, so I'm going to just build
a custom as time/money permits and get a brake for the 7mm.

I've seen brakes that allow you to twist them to change the amount of
brake - do you have any experience with those?
