Re: M-107 .50 caliber Long Range Sniper Rifle

At army boot camp they beat into our heads the max effective range of
the M16 was 460 meters. Any thinking person realizes the bullet still
has plenty of energy at that range to ruin your day if you step in
front of it. Even the light 62 grain bullet the military uses can make
a mess of things. IMHO the 7.62 was/is a better rifle round for
infantry - interesting to see how the new 6.2 compares
