I was referring to the shipping rates determined by the seller. I
know the site can't directly control that, but it's worth keeping in
mind as more sellers arrive.
My site is considerably less expensive than eBay in that -
- There is no insertion fee, the cost to enhance your listing is less,
the selling percentages are less, there is no charge to end or start
your auction whenever you want, there is no charge to upload a dozen
photos, etc.
I do like all those things, except possibly the first. I remember
when Yahoo Auctions started, their big appeal was no listing fees.
This resulted in lots of people listing items for stupidly high
prices, which never sold. but, because there was no penalty for re-
listing, the same items would just pollute the listings week after
week. I'm assuming you've given the seller some incentive to sell the
item the first time around?
