Looking for games and help in MD

Hey all,
This is my first post to this group, after reading through the
different groups under rec.games.video.arcade.
Like many out there, I was born in the early 70's, and wasted away all
my paper route money in the early 80s in arcades. Now I'm just
finishing up my basement, and have grand designs on a game room. Also,
from what I can gather, I share a common "never worked on a video game
before, but I'm an IT geek and avid do-it-yourselfer, and can learn"
background with successful collectors out there. This site seems like
the best arena for fellow collectors like myself, so I'm saying "hey"
and asking for a bit of advice.
I would like to start collecting games, and learning the finer points
of restoration, and would appreciate any tips/pointers/references, etc
that I can get. I've been reading through posts, and visiting lots of
blogs and web pages on restoration, but it seems like everything is in
CA, TX, or PA. Anyone know of anything in the MD/DC area?
Also, if anyone is looking to get rid of a pac, spy hunter, 720, or
joust project (or inexpensive working) standup, I'm interested. It
doesn't necessarily need to be all original, but my goal will be to
try to bring it back around to being as close as possible. And trust
me, it'll have a good home. :)
Thanks in advance,
Doug
