Atari Video Pinball - The MATRIX??

Hi;
I'm working on my Video Pinball, replaced all electrolytics on the
PCB. Checked voltages. Everything looks physically good on the PCB but
I don't got game.
When I fire it up, it looks like a bunch of morse code on the display,
a lot of dots and dashes. It does not coin up.
When I place the game in test, the LEDs' perform their routine
properly, I get beeps from all the buttons when depressed but a
strange thing occurs when I press a button, I get the beep and the
display scrolls quickly down towards the player and it looks just like
the matrix.
Has anyone had a problem similar to this???
