might be worn out in one or more spots. That'll cause the symptoms you
describe. Electronics usually work or don't work so it should be
something mechanical like the pot.
I did the self-test in the diagnostics menu and all the force feedback
wheel tests behave correctly. The values are pretty much the same as
the working side. I took apart the steering and there is a 5KOhm POT
on top and on bottom of the main steering wheel. I am not sure which
I would go about changing to try to correct this problem. I wonder if
the problem is still electronic related.
Change both. They are probably the originals from '94.
From memory, one is for the wheel, the other is for the drive board.
