Hi guys;
I was working on a Sega Turbo boardset, and turned the two pots on the
side of the prom board (not the sound board).... they didn't seem to do
anything, so I put them back where they were. After a few minutes, when I
was moving the game, the cars and buildings on the screen suddenly stretched
out and got way too big. Turning the pots now seems to affect it, but it
won't go back to where it was. I tried reseating the roms and the ribbon
cables to no avail. Anybody have any idea on either a: what these pots do,
or b: what I should check to get the cars back down to normal size?
Thanks,
Ron
According to the manual/schems, that's exactly what those pots do, and
you're not supposed to mess with them. One changes the height of the
trees/buildings a lot, and the other tweaks them just a little. I
messed with mine a little, and screwed *** up pretty good. I ended
up firing up MAME to use as a point of reference and readjusting
them. Prolly not perfect, but better than the mess I made.
