I'll go with nuts.

Alright, I was at a local family center the other day and.
spotted an original Donkey Kong UR (next to a Galaga /
Ms. Pac-Man reunion). Naturally, I went to see it and
was a little disappointed to see it needing some TLC here
and there. Not too much, just things like new t-molding,
new instruction and coin stickers, new side-art, the
monitor screen was too wide and it needed to be degaussed.
Also, noticed a freeplay coin switch installed on the
front, so it was probably in someone's home and it got
sold at a recent auction (speculation).
Anyway, that fact the game could so easily (and cheaply)
be fixed-up just kept annoying me until I finally said
something to one of the employees (I saw him working on a
game earlier in the day). I told him how to quickly fix
the two monitor issues and thought he understood until I
used the word "degauss". At that point I knew I lost him
and repeated it, then explained what it means. His
response was they use an outside company for that, so I
requested he relay the info to them. It continued to bug
me and I thought about even coming back with some of my
own t-molding, tools, instruction sticks (everything but
side-art) and doing the work myself. It was time to go
and after leaving, all I could think was am I that nuts
or just seriously addicted to this hobby!!!
You be the judge.
BTW, I tried power cycling the game, in case the
degaussing coil was plugged in and working, but the way
it was smashed-up against a wall I couldn't get to the
switch. Not to mention, I kept getting a weird look from
another employee when I reached my arm behind the game!
