Re: Your very first arcade game experience?

born in 68 here
first place I ever played was I think 75 or 76 was a crappy run down corner
in the Northgate mall in Regina Saskatchewan, mainly had pins and EM rifle
games but stuck near the back was a Computer Space, Pong and A deathrace. no
one ever played em, but I did . then in the late 70's the Great skate roller
rink got vector games in and after a while Pac man. The arcades(as we knew
them ) really got rolling in around 1981 or 82. got in loads of *** from my
folks for spending every dime I got in the places . Buffalo Bills had 2
locations in Regina , there was the midtown(loads of great new games),
Sherwood village, more I cant name right now(cant remember)

So, for you, where/when/what? Tell your story.

Not much to tell. I was born in 1962 (Cuban Missile Crisis. Yay. ^_^)
Lived in a town that had a couple of pizza places that had pinball
machines (which I got kinda attached to at a young age). However,
one of my older sisters had come into town (she was in the Air Force at
the time) for a little Rn'R. When she went to Columbus to leave by
Greyhound, I was with her and another sister to see her off. This was
in 1975. Saw my first Pong unit and we played while waiting for the bus.
I must say it was fun (granted, I first heard of videogames from where
my father, in the last months before his death, bought a home unit
that had tennis and a skeet gun) But Pong was the first arcade videogame
unit I ever played.

This small town I lived in didn't get it's first arcade videogame until
around 1980 (a new sub shop opened with Pac-Man). I played it a few
times until I graduated and soon moved to Michigan to accept a job
offer. Which is where I encountered my first actual dedicated Arcade.
But that too is another story.
