This problem comes and goes, but now its just being damn annoying.
Basically, the monitor turns on fine, looks fantastic, but after a few
minutes, it turns off. Turning the system off and on makes the picture
come up again, but for a shorter time period then before. The sound
and games still run in the background. Its a dedicated Neo Geo 4 slot
cabinet. Where do you recommend starting?
Your hi voltage is climbing. If this is a G07 monitor, start with a
meter checking to see if your high voltage is at 120vdc and if it
climbs. Negative lead on chassis, positive lead on Ceramic white
resistor where the white wire is attached.Turn on monitor and see
where your voltage is at and adjust the B+ hi voltage pot on the
chassis very carefully with a plastic screw driver until it hits
120vdc. Then you should be good. If it still climbs, shut monitor down
and move the B+ pot adjustment left / right to see if it may just be
dirty then regulate again. If it still climbs, could be that the pot
is bad and you'll need to install a new one. Hope that helps ya.
